How You Support Our Work
Care Services
The ALS Network’s unique wraparound model of care combines fully coordinated, individualized medical care with essential community-based care services to those living with ALS as well as members of their household – all at no charge. This helps patients live longer, stay healthier, and stay connected to clinical trials and studies — leading to faster scientific discovery.
Advocacy
Working in partnership with our ALS community, the ALS Network advocates for policies that improve the lives of those living with ALS, their families, and caregivers. Our efforts have led to increased funding for research, passage of the Medicare waiver for ALS patients, the presumptive disability ruling from the Social Security Administration, and state funding that supports increased access to care.
Research
In partnership with a world-renowned scientific advisory committee, the ALS Network funds and supports the most promising peer-reviewed research and novel endeavors designed to accelerate the search for effective prevention strategies, treatments, and cures for ALS. To help drive progress, we connect the ALS community with ALS research projects and studies.
Community Outreach
The ALS Network hosts celebratory and meaningful gatherings to foster connection and empower individuals while raising funds, increasing ALS awareness, and creating help and hope in support of the ALS community. These opportunities create help, hope, and heart for families impacted by ALS today, and for those who will be diagnosed in the future.
